More Hair Studio and Spa

This place is not worth it. I have Sisterlocks and I have been client for year and tolerated a lot at More Hair Salon. I have had to wait over an hour and half for multiple appointments and I was willing to do it because of the cost and I liked my Sisterlocks Consultant. What tipped me over was that the salon encouraged its clients to book out my retightenings for the full year and then we received an email mid-year increasing the rates from $150 with a shampooing to $205. Even if your hair only takes 2 hours to complete, you still have to pay $205 for 4 hours. The price clearly increased because the salon doesn't have enough stylists or clients. The cost for every single service is now higher than pretty much every other place in the DMV. Plus, the last time I visited was the last straw, I booked for a 7AM appointment and had to wait until about 9 for someone to come and open the salon. On top of that, when the owner arrived to open, I asked the owner about the price increase

LET ME TELL YOU. More Hair Studio is my new best friend. I received a BAD sisterlock installment somewhere else that I overpaid for which resulted in me having about 215 regular sized to micro sized locs (I have medium hair density). I came to More Hair distraught, received an honest and generous consult for them to take out the largest section and reinstall. HONEY. HONEY. This is what sisterlocks are supposed to look like. I regret not patiently waiting to be installed at More (they had an appointment 2 months away from when I hoped to get it). Honestly, I should have waited the two months. They got me RIGHT. I am even considering taking the rest of the back out and letting them just do that over too. I feel so relieved and finally excited about this process. Thank you so much More Hair. I tried scheduling an appointment to have my hair cut 4 times based off of the availability they had on their website, just for my appointment to be cancelled every single time because I was told those times weren’t available and they didn’t do hair shaping. If those times weren’t available or they don’t offer a service their website should reflect that. Very unprofessional and won’t be booking again.
