Stella's Hair Salon

Maria gave me a fabulous Deva haircut and style. She really listened to what I wanted. As I was getting my hair done, two other women finished up with Stella, and they looked fabulous: one with straight silver, turquoise, and purple hair - like a reverse ombre - that was shiny and beautiful, the other with long curls. Maria did a wonderful job on giving me a deva cut. Absolutely loved all the tips she gave me on how to take better care of my hair. One star off because they didn’t dry the hair after styling. You either wait there ages till your hair air dries or walk out in Boston cold with wet hair. Edit: I was just asked whether I want to sit there and dry my hair or walk out- this led me to think that I would be air drying the hair in the salon so one star off for miscommunication.

The great reviews brought me to Stella's Hair Salon, and the reputation definitely precedes that. Having moved to Massachusetts, Stella has been my go-to person for my haircut and coloring. Both Stella and Maria bring such a welcoming, fun, and casual atmosphere, and if you are lucky, you get to meet her adorable chorkies, Rosie and Rocco. When deciding to balayage my hair again, Stella listened and recommended alternatives to not using bleach so my hair wouldn't get dry in the long run.
