Southern Roots Salon of Houma

Sorry to say but this beauty salon/hairstylist has to be the worst experience ever. Bad service, the color/cut was a joke. I left this salon with a headache from the stress I had there. Worst haircut I've ever had -it's an insult to charge what she did for the service received. The hairstylist Gretchen was unprofessional in so many ways it's unbelievable. I would never return to this salon even if they offered me a free color/cut. I had heard of the drama from another employee but the one doing my hair was the culprit of all issues they have there, as she made it perfectly clear by all her comments about each and every one of them. I absolutely love going to Southern Roots weekly. The stylist has private rooms, which is my personal preference when choosing a salon. Gretchen Duplantis is a great stylist, and my hair has never looks so good. I get compliments all the time about my color and style.

I wouldn't recommend this salon, or Gretchen to anyone- unless you don't care about your long hair getting chopped off when you go in for just a TRIM and go every 6 weeks so clearly 5 inches of hair did NOT have to be cut off especially when she told & showed me it would only be a half an inch. I said that was fine. Not 5 inches! Not a care in the world also the whole time you don't get to just relax you get to hear her stories which are crazy inappropriate to be telling customers. Also if you want a hair cut and dye it's $90, if you want it just dyed it's $80 but if you want just a cut it's $45 doesn't make much sense does it?
