I had an unexpected haircut here today, it had been just over 3 years since I had a haircut. I was able to get an appointment within 30 mins and my stylist, Kim, was such a pleasure to work with. I was kind of nervous going in but she made everything awesome with good small talk and feedback. I showed her one picture of how I used to have my hair and she replicated that exact image. I've been to alot of salons in Lafayette and this one takes the cake. Don't spend your money elsewhere :)
I saw Haven for a full blond highlight and cut and I have mixed reviews. I showed Haven a picture me with a previous cut and highlight I had before. I came in with lot of regrowth at the top. I asked for a blended look. The result ended up being a distinct line between the regrowth and my new highlight. The haircut lasted 5 minutes. I was hoping for more hair to be cut off. It was toward the end of the night and I felt I was being rushed out of the door. Haven did not have a mirror initially for me to look at the back of the head. Haven informed me that I only got a partial highlight due to the time factor. I thought I was suppose to get a full blond highlight. She did offer to schedule a 2nd appointment for free to finish the highlight; however, I was hesitant. Haven is nice and pleasant, but I feel she is still a bit green in her experience. I’ve been going to Tabby Geswein for years. She is by far THE BEST stylist ever. Cuts are precise and consistent. My teazy lights are perfect. She does all 3 of my daughters hair too. Salon is clean and well kept. The salon has a great vibe as well as the other stylists there too. Tabby takes her time and is so nice!
