Orchid Nails and Spa

Had an appointment October 2023. Was assigned tech Don. Nice man. Was getting a pedicure and full set of acrylic nails. The foot bath nozzle that creates the jacuzzi feel was placed on incorrectly, so water poured out all over me, the chair, the floor to the point that I had to wring out my shirt, but couldn't do that for my jeans. He was very apologetic. I was trying to be gracious. It was an accident. Next, while painting my toes he pulls down his mask and sneezes 3 times. No attempt to place his face in his arm or cover his mouth in any way. I said "bad allergies?" He said "no, I have a cold"...ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? Now I'm irritated about everything!!! I'm wet (had to sit on towels to get nails done, that's how soaked my rear was) and in jeopardy of catching something. Pedicure was 35.00. He put a silver line of nail polish as a design...10.00 a toe. Now 55.00. He used gel polish which was an additional charge, not explained. By the time I left, what should have been 85.00 was 149

They have nice and polite staff but I think they lack in servicing their customers compared to other nail salons I've been to..this one lacked in customer service. For example, I walked in for no chip manicure. The young lady helped but she informed me she lacked in experience due to her just starting in the field. As a customer it would have been nice if staff would have told me this before she worked on my nails for the no chip manicure because as a customer I have that option to choose a novice staff member or someone with more experience. The young lady ended up cutting me with the tools a few times. She did apologize, which was great but it was still bad because I was bleeding. Also, I asked for round nails. I was given some rounded and some square-oval shaped. My polish chipped on day 2!!!!! I did not go back to the salon for them to fix my nails because they have a sign that does not support my reason for coming back. I will not come back.

I love the atmosphere of the salon. Hanah or Rona are my usual nail techs and they do an amazing job. My nails last forever without chipping. They can bring any picture I bring in and copy my nails to it. They always shape my nails perfectly and I love the convenience of being able to text to schedule my appointments. When I have an appointment I am never waiting! I’m promptly assisted. I recommend this salon to anyone wanting to treat themselves!
