I recently moved to Illinois and always dread finding a new stylist because I am very particular about my hair. After a lot of research on Instagram, I found Matriarch and Wendi. I immediately knew I wanted her to cut my hair. The appointment went fabulous! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and the vibe in the salon was fun and inclusive. We got to chatting and Wendi helped me learn that I have naturally wavy hair and showed me how to style it to bring out the natural waves. We both got so excited that we forgot to do a final length check-when I washed my hair the following morning, and brushed it, I noticed it was two different lengths on each side. I reached out to Wendi in a panic, and on my end, was probably not very nice, she offered to fix it for free and refund me. The not so nice part of me came out because I’m from AZ where most stylists won’t refund you for anything, even if it was their mistake, let alone offer to fix it. I’m so sorry, Wendi!
