Chanel was the lady who cut my hair, I am not by any means picky. I work in retail and know people can be. I had long healthy hair and need a trim and some layers. She completely did a horrible job on layering my hair. Multiple times a week I get asked who cut your hair. Or why is your hair so uneven. And it’s embarassing. She legit cut a whole layer of hair going across the back and that is all. Didn’t blend or anything. I called and made an appointment. I even asked the girl on the phone is she good & her response was oh yes she is a senior stylist. Note to yourself do not get a hair cut from her.

I wanted to like my service, but this was a colossal fail. I came in for a Silk Press, which should have lasted more than one day. Sadly, it was a waste of money. I did some research on Silk Presses. It appears my stylist did no more than lightly blow dry my hair and followed with a light flat iron, leaving my hair less than straight in several areas. I was charged $65 for the Silk Press and $20 extra to trim my ends. This was a total disappointing first and last time using JCP Hair salon in Yorktown Mall. I did not like how the checking out process went, I had my hair colored for the first time and I was quoted $90 by the stylist with glasses and when we were going to pay it bumped up to $130 out of nowhere! The stylist DID NOT communicate to me about adding anything extra to my hair and the cost of it, otherwise I would not have gotten my hair colored. It was very unprofessional that I wasn't told. I don't think I will be coming back here since they want to be slimy and not communicate.. bad hair stylist for not telling me. Services: Hairstyling, Hair coloring
