Tania's Unisex Dominican Beauty Salon

How does this place have great reviews? I was searching for a new hair salon and stumbled across this one. I read most of the reviews and decided to give it a chance. Well, I regret going. I went in for color and a trim. First, the front of the salon is ok, but the back part not so much. It’s not well lit and it’s so messy. Second, Tanya colored my hair in the chair where they do washes and I was in an awkward position and so was she. When I got home, I noticed she left parts of my hair without dye. Then she styled my hair which took her forever and wasn’t really getting in there and left sections not as straight. After she gave me a trim, which was not even. She charged me $130 which was not worth it at all. Her daughter gave me a cheaper price at first of $75, but Tanya went up even more. Unfortunately, it was my first and last time going to this salon. She’s nice, but is not great at what she does. That’s why I’m thinking most of the 5-star reviews have to be fake. Well, I’ll contin

I was so happy to find a great Dominican salon when I recently moved to Chicago! Tania is excellent at what she does and also so kind. She takes great care of my hair and I appreciate that she only does appointments, which makes it a much more efficient visit!
