My hair is terribly fine, and it's been difficult to find someone who knows how to work with this texture. A bob is best for my hair and after several years of lackluster and not inexpensive hair cuts, I finally googled "best bob in Chicago". That's how I found David Nolan at Sine Qua Non West Town. He's an unusual combination of precision cutting with intense knowledge of what will or won't work for his clients. At this first appointment, he made a generous time investment in discussing my facial structure, lifestyle, and my interest in changing my style. The end result was easily the best cut I've had in years. David makes his clients comfortable with intelligent conversation and doesn't push product...there's that fine line of suggesting product and pushing product. He doesn't cross that line. The salon is comfortable and beautiful...warm, laid back and is filled with a charming collection of art. The manager at the front desk is also warm and charming, offering a menu of beverages.

Finding a new stylist is not easy. For the last few months, I've been letting my hair grow into a total mess because I couldn't decide where to go. Last week, I stumbled upon Sophia at the West Loop location on Washington. I believe Sophia is an apprentice currently. Although she is just starting off, she is killing it! Plus, she's super easy to chat with. She gave great product recommendations, but she didn't pressure me into buying anything -which was really nice. The haircut - love, love ,love it! I was honestly so surprised. For an apprentice, Sophia is amazing! This is my favorite cut in a long time. I was so pleased I've already book my next appointment with her.
