City Nails & Spa

I was in Gainesville visiting a friend when I lucked upon this nail salon for a pedi. I was greeted immediately by a friendly young lady and as a walk-in also lucked into no waiting. This salon is beautiful and very clean. A young nail specialist did a fabulous job trimming my toe nails. I’m a tennis player so need them shorter than most prefer. When visiting Gainseville again, this will definitely be where I return. Great job!!!

Do not use this place!!! They are not clean! At last fill in I told (A) who was doing my nails there was a off color on my thumb and he said oh it’s where you hit your nail, so I let it go an let him do the fill in, not even 2 weeks late I could see the black under all my nails! Witch I took them off and this is what I found! My nails were infected with a bacteria! I soaked them in vinger for a week and he said he would do a new set for free so I went and let them try again (me being dumb) lol but I believe in second chances and I had been using this salon for almost a year! So while he was doing my nails (my free set ) he didn’t talk to me, kept getting up an doing other stuff, I asked who questions witch he didn’t answer! And now I noticed at good my nails glow in the dark from the clear coat!? Witch I didn’t ask for!!!!!! I will not be using them again! Always make sure your salon is clean!!! We had an appointment for 2 pedicures. They got us started right away and the pedicures and massage chairs were very nice and relaxing. The man who did my nails did a good job and was patient, and i probably will return again for my nails, but definitely not my toenails. My main complaint is that my toenail polish looks super sloppy (see pictures). For the cost we paid for the service, it's pretty disappointing how bad the toes look. The other small note is that it was harder to relax during the mani/pedi since i had to lean across the chair for the one hand (not sure if that's standard or not, but would be nice if he could have done one hand at a time to avoid this).
