Salon Honey and Sage

I would like to thank Kristen the owner of Salon Honey and Sage for taking the time to make this world a better place! I wish I would had taken photos of my wife’s hair to show how amateur the work was done. I did notice that she was taking photos of other women’s hair in there. But I am guessing Kristen didn’t want to take photos of my wife’s hair because of her sloppy work. My wife chose to come to this Salon because Kristen claims to be a level five hair artist. I guess anyone off the street can claim to be a level five hair artist too! I noticed my wife’s hair outside in the natural light when we were leaving the salon. I asked her, didn’t Kristen dye your hair because I still see your natural hair color, like she didn’t even dye it and I noticed the hair extension that she put in her hair look like something from a horror movie. I have been seeing Kristen for YEARS, about 15 years and she is the only stylist I 100% trust with my hair. Kristen truly understands trends, shapes, and hair types more than any other stylist I’ve tried. My hair is very hard when it comes to color and almost never tones right, however Kristen is a color magician, a true chemist. Also through the years, with age my face shape has changed a bit & I have wanted to stay hip and Kristen has never let me down on keep my hair up to date! I completely trust her without having a vision myself, I know she will always come through for me. As far as the salon - Salon Honey and Safe is gorgeous! It is so hip and chic and something you would see on TV! The front desk ladies are so great, they always offer me coffee and tea and magazines and they have every product I can imagine. I went in looking for a simple haircut - got an appointment with one of their top tier stylists, which are expensive for what I wanted. A simple straight cut - just trimming split ends. Because she was a top stylists, she had an assistant that did the wash, dry and style. (I was not told about this when I booked) They curled my hair - because "since your getting such a simple cut, I want to do something nice" Curling the hair made it hard to tell the actual cut. Once I showered and allowed hair to dry overnight - I was able to see it was not a straight line. I wanted to be sure, so the next day I flat ironed - which I very rarely do (I don't blow dry, color or apply anything external to my hair). Once straightening - I was able to confirm the cut is NOT straight. When I was finally able to talk to the shop to tell to them about my experience, they offered to let me come back for another cut.
