Aveda - TCG Salon

I had gotten my hair cut on Saturday at another local shop and was a bit underwhelmed with the cut. Fast forward to yesterday, I realized I wanted more. Hilary really made my vision come to life! She was friendly and truly listened to what I wanted. She gave me layers, thinned out my hair and even cut an inch or two more. Highly recommend! Service: Haircut

TCG Salon is a location I highly recommend. I hadn’t gotten my hair done or styled since covid. When I made my first appointment with Demi, she walked me through the process of bringing life back to my hair. Ever since then, I keep coming back for the full treatment of the Botanical Repair Treatment and the Split End Mender. That combo has saved my hair and I have Demi to thank for it! The staff is amazing, too! The moment you walk into the salon you’re greeted right away and offered a hot towel and a beverage. The location is easy to get to, very clean, and just has great vibes all around. Really disappointed in this salon experience. I had SUCH high hopes as it was an Aveda salon. I booked a last minute appointment with Mauricio (as my current stylist was out with covid). When he came in, he asked me what I wanted. I said long layers and for my highlights to be redone. I asked for 3-4 inches taken off my length to remove dead ends. Then it all went downhill from there. First red flag: Mauricio cut my hair prior to the highlights..... I took this to be maybe his personal style, but in 15 years of getting highlights I never once had a stylist do my hair prior to cutting. IMMEDIATELY he started cutting HUGE block-like chunks from the front of my hair. There was no measuring to even make sure it matched both sides. He was just going straight across with the scissors (unlike any stylist I ever encountered) Internally I was panicking.
