Finding a new stylist is daunting. These days, the only photos any “stylist” seems to put in their portfolio or Instagram is the SAME photo of the back of a woman’s head with long, curled, COLORED hair. This tells me nothing about their scissor skills and no matter what you do afterwards, great hair begins with a great cut using super expensive scissors. I had a WONDERFUL experience yesterday with Dioré (sp?) Im spelling it like Dior with an acute accented “e” on the end ???? She is not even on their website yet! Dioré is a Level 4 stylist who listens to her client and really understands hair. I have heavy, straight hair that requires precision layer cutting. This is not an easy skill to acquire. It seems most stylists in the 2020s are only focused on color (its’ own skill), but as someone just receiving my very first gray hairs in my fabulous natural color, I’m not ready to add color… yet. I went to Hannah Morris at Halo Hair Studio. Hannah was great. She listened to what I wanted, was timely, friendly, and my hair is beautiful! I also thought that value was pretty good compared to overcharging that I’ve seen at other places. I will definitely be going back to Halo to see Hannah!
