Cranberries the Salon

I've been here before when I lived in the area a few years back, and hoped to get in while visiting for a few days. They were able to fit me in same day, even though the stylist had to stay a little later than anticipated (which I was really grateful for!) The staff and everyone there is welcoming, and make you feel comfortable. I didn't have anyone with me, but they seem pretty good about allowing family there with you, which some salons are more strict right now. Marissa was my stylist and she was so great, I guess I was in a talkative mood because I definitely dumped more on her than I normally would to a stylist (I was even surprised by myself by the end of it)????, but she was very chill about everything, seemed like she'd talk as little or as much as you wanted, and listened with intent to everything I said! High prices, low quality. My 7 year old daughter and I went to this salon for Wedding hair do's. It was our first time. My daughter got a french braid crown around her head and I just got my hair curled with a curling iron for large curls. We did not get our hair shampooed, cut, or anything else. The hair dresser was nice enough, but did not talk to us very much the whole time. It took about an hour total, and our bill was $90, not including tip. I was shocked because of the simplicity of our appointment. I don't feel like it was worth $90. My curls flattened out within 2 hours after the appointment. I have had my hair curled with large curls before that lasted until the next day, totally worth it. I don't mind paying more money on something that is worth it, but this was not.

8 am, no customers, girl asks if I had a appointment, which I respond no. She tells me to take a seat which I did and waited patiently for my simple buzz cut. When she was finally ready to handle me the only person in the store, she states I had to wait until 1pm because she didnt know how to cut a mans hair, I simply ask you the reader, then why did I wait literal minutes for that response. Further more doesn't salon school teach basic buzz cuts like day 1. 8 am I simply could fathom her not wanting my money. I think personally she was tired and simply didnt want to help me or clean her station.
