The 3 stars goes to the Jackson Square talent that MERGED into the Fillmore location. I went to the Jackson Square location 2x and both times was horrible. The lack of customer service, the over charging that they actually had to refund. The lack of interest when they color your hair that the color is actually what you want. They don't check the color if you don't stay and pay for a blow dry $35+$8tip. They don't care even if you pay for a blow dry, they don't check the color. Invariably they get your color or what you want wrong Well, Jackson Square brought this horrible attitude to Fillmore. Color was wrong, effect was wrong and attitude bad. Fran is fantastic. I saw Steve Reeder at Secret Agent Salon for 20 years, when I moved to the Bay Area. Steve trained Fran. I trust her completely. She can do anything hair related. While my color service was well done, I am appalled by the customer service at the salon. I was charged separately for the toner for my color. I find it very bad form that I received a bill for well over $200 for my color, but was sent out of the salon with soaking wet hair on a cold day. They charge separately for blow dry services. Either it is an upmarket salon that charges full-scale prices with full-scale service or it’s a discount Salon, but to pay that much money and be sent out with wet hair is very bad customer service.
