Juni Salon

Quoted me $300 for straightening what I very clearly described as very curly, very thick, and damaged hair. I clear half my day, show up at the designated time, she washes my (less than shoulder length) hair, ripping a bunch in the process (I’m already weary at this point), then proceeds to “dry” it (basically teases it into an uncontrollable Jewfro — to make a point?) then says it would actually be $550. I got up and left. I’d probably end up paying as much total because I’ll now be flying to get this done at a more serious Korean salon in LA, but eww. Do your hair and your schedule a favor and take your business elsewhere.

Jennifer knows exactly what my half-Korean hair should look like. Usually a little different from what a normal American place would do, and in a very good way. She always does a fantastic job in this excellent little Korean salon!

I'm excited to write this review for Jennifer, the owner of Juni Salon! I heard of Juni Salon because my mom used to go there when there was a previous owner. I went looking for her, and to my surprise, I met Jennifer! My hair is normally very unmanageable so as a solution I have had several Magic perms; but until I met Jennifer, they never turned out as nicely as I wanted. Eventually, I learned that the curly perms were kind of dried out and frizzy, and I wanted a new look. Jennifer was awesome, she offered me a consultation and we decided to go with the Magic Perm. The main difference is her technique! This was the BEST decision for my hair. Every three months I visit her salon for a coating touch up. She is very polite and has a lot of knowledge! The biggest difference in my hair is that now I can manage it! All thanks to Jennifer!
