Onyx Nails

On vacation in Chula Vista, wanted to go for a pedicure with my niece. Looked on Yelp for something with good reviews and close to where we were staying. Called and made appointments a couple days in advance. Mandy was my nail tech and she did a super job as well as having a fun personality. The shop is beautiful and very clean. There were just two negative factors that kept me from giving 5 stars. The first was that, even though we had appointments, we had to wait almost 40 minutes before our services got started. Since I'm on vacation and chatting with my niece, it wasn't a big deal. However if this were a regular Saturday at home, I would have been super annoyed. The second factor was the shop was incredibly hot. After being there over a half hour I mentioned it and asked if they could turn on A/C, they brought us both little personal fans that sat on the arm of the chair and honestly they were GREAT! Truthfully Onyx nails is a one of the kind experience. From the moment I stepped into the door to the time I left, I was taken care of and treated with dignity and respect! For one, the salon is gorgeous and clean. They offered me a drink upon being seated on their wonderful pedicure seating and one of the staff members even brought over a mini fan to cool me down without me even asking or suggesting! My manicure request was also far from an easy design but all the staff were so willing to try their hand and make sure I left happy! You can truly tell they take pride in their work! I believe I have found my new go to nail salon(: thank you guys

Yvonne is my girrrl! She took off an old set that a different spa did and made them look 100% better! She is super precise. Definitely going back
