Comb & Honey Salon

I have been going to Comb and Honey ever since my brilliant colorist, Kari S, started working there. It’s a cute, intimate little salon where you can get stellar cuts or color done. I’ve been seeing Kari ever since I moved to LA in 2018, first as a blonde, now as a bronde babe, and she even prepped and styled me for my wedding! She’s incredibly talented, and provides a nice balance of listening to what you want while also helping guide you to the best color for your skin tone, lifestyle, etc. Shes really focused on quality and getting things done right (instead of fast or conveniently). She’s a lovely gal to chat to, to boot! Services: Haircut, Hairstyling, Hair coloring, Balayage

Kari Sanburg scheduled me for highlights at 12:30pm today. The salon reminded me it was 12:30pm via text yesterday. I arrived promptly at 12:25pm and sat down quietly. At 12:40pm, Kari still had not greeted me and she was having fun taking a picture of a client outside the door while one of her clients had foils in her hair and The other (me) was waiting. I reminded her of this fact and she did NOT apologize. “Why didn’t you text me that you were running an hour behind?” Kari replied: “I wish I could have.” At 1pm she asked me to “Step outside” in an aggressive tone like she was going to fight me. She proceeded to belittle me. “I charge you $200 for what I normally charge other clients $350.” Like I should be grateful. It was condescending and rude. She then canceled our appointment and I called her unprofessional. Stay away from Kari Sanburg! She doesn’t respect anyone’s time and she’s unprofessional.

Melissa is a true professional and a wonderful person to spend time with as she cuts, colors and works hard to make sure you walk away looking and feeling wonderful. She has been working on my hair for years and always does a great job, she is accommodating and really cares not only about your hair but about you. I highly recommend Comb and Honey.
