I have been seeing Tunowa for YEARS. And she knows hair, locs & curls like a first language. This review is specifically about my first major chop. Went from passed bra length hair to short pixie cut. As someone rocking their natural curly hair everyone & they mama told me NOT to cut my hair “your hair so beautiful” “people would kill for your hair” “you’ll regret it” all those projections are not my problem. Tunowa & Marie helped me feel confident and valid in what I wanted and beyond supported my decision to chop off my luscious curls and I’ll never go back. The salon itself is safe and gives comfort and security we all deserve. Marie and Tunowa work collaboratively naturally. They are both very wise humans that anyone can trust with their precious crown. Very kind, loving, & honest people. Curls before & after. Let me paint a picture...... Online appointment booking is easy and straightforward. Automated text reminders were ???? ???? Easy parking. Open the Salon door, EVERYONE GREETS YOU before you can even get a word out! And its not a cheesy greet, its a welcome home feeling, kind of a greet. ???? Your hair stylist is already waiting for you. Mine, in particular Mrs. Tunowna started my initial hair consultation and went over the services i requested. Now let me get into this wash..... I've never had such and AMAZING wash experience ???? . She really took her time educating me on MY HAIR. I'm so Grateful becuase natural hair is not easy to get the hang of in the beginning stages. Products, education, and routine are key. She taught me that. The hydration steam was Devine, during this part i was offered A beverage and lite snack. If they didn't have me with there process. They sure did with my drink and snack. ???????? After my final rinse, i did a little twisting and shouting to bring out

Trust these people with your curly hair I definitely have hair trust issues & anxiety around it, but this salon is so welcoming & relaxed. Marie gave me the best curly cut ever, taught me technique, and was just genuinely so sweet. My curls came out looking better than ever & I was even able to replicate the style after some more consultation with her!! I wish I could sit in her chair every week but I am just glad I get to go back in a few months now, before I used to wait years for a trim
