Northern Lights Barber Shop

Good haircut but at $29 it's way too expensive. I don't know why I didn't ask the price first. Not sure why the description is an old school barber shop. They don't use straight razors for the neck clean up. Although there are pictures of straight razors all over the place. I won't be returning.

The dude with the gauges in his ear is freaking awesome highly recommend and he is funny. Went to Hawaii and got a haircut which got totally messed up to where I had to leave the barbershop in Hawaii and go straight to lids and buy a hat. Got home to Anchorage came to Northern lights barbershop, and this guy hooked me up nice

I've had my hair cut by maybe 4 of the stylists here and have little to complain about, it's a nice atmosphere, if you like rock music they've usually got some playing. My only 2 gripes are that I would like it if I could schedule appointments with particular stylists, which leads me to my second point. I really like one of the stylists there, a couple of the others are good, they put thought and care into my haircut each time. The guy in the middle I really don't like and not just because he 'doesn't quite cut my hair the way I like', but because the last couple times he's cut my hair it feels incredibly rushed and borderline painful, he's rude and condescending and he genuinely scoffed at me when I told him how I would like my hair cut. I really don't like the idea of paying for someone to make fun of me and give me a half-a**ed haircut.
