i was new to the area last year and needed to find who my new go-to hair stylist would be. Specifically I wanted to find a shop that's LGTBQIA+ friendly, and could handle "alternative" hairstyles (I'm a femme person who likes funky short haircuts). At first I was a bit dismayed that the only options when booking online were "mens" or "womens" haircuts, but really, all this means is how involved/complicated your haircut needs are. Under half an hour, not so complicated...they charge "mens'" price. Over 30 min, more complicated...they charge "womens'" price. So that's all that really is. My stylist Olivia has been so kind and understanding to my concerns about that, and my hair needs as a nonbinary person who balks at binary labels. Both her and Mayra are so friendly and professional, and they keep a clean shop. I like that the shop is appointment-only, they keep the door locked so random people can't just walk in. I've been going here a year now and Olivia has never done me wrong :) So

I’ve been using Olivia for close to 15 years and have always been really happy with the results! Between color, haircuts, and advice on how to take care of my hair curly, she’s the best! I don’t care if she knows, I will go with her! But in the meantime, her studio is awesome, and she is super friendly and accommodating! Amy Rothblatt
